Let the adventure begin

Hi all beer and mjød lovers...

This site is going to reflect our brewing adventures. For now we are waiting the all important brewing kit - a big plastic cauldron and some yest. For the first experiment, we are going to brew a simple Mjød following this recipe:
  • 10 Kg honey
  • 15 liter water
  • Skin from two lemons
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 10gr. of ginger
  • 15 gr. of Hops
  • 1 pack of dry yest
Procedure: First you boil the water mixed with honey, if you have a big pot you can do it in one go, else you just have to do it in several turns. Add the mix to your cauldron and let it drop to a temperature of 30c before adding the Yest mix. The Yest mix has been prepared some hours before - follow instruction on package.

Our successes or failures will be posted as events unfold.
